FREAKS FACTORY

Formed in 2017, FREAKS FACTORY are a San Diego–based punk rock trio featuring vocalist and guitarist Corey Slate, bassist Ben Wilder, and drummer Rex Halden.

Their sound blends the speed and attitude of classic punk with the catchiness of pop punk and the energy of skate culture, delivering anthemic songs built for movement and release.

Driven by distorted guitars, punchy rhythms, and emotionally charged vocals, FREAKS FACTORY capture the anxiety, rebellion, and restless spirit of modern youth. Their music is fast, melodic, and unapologetically loud, balancing frustration with hooks that stick and choruses meant to be shouted back.

FREAKS FACTORY don’t chase perfection. They embrace imperfection, honesty, and momentum, turning personal tension into collective catharsis. This is punk rock made to sweat, jump, and survive: short, sharp bursts of energy designed to hit hard and move on.

FREAKS FACTORY was formed in San Diego, where skate parks, garages, and small venues shaped the band’s instinctive approach to music. The trio bonded over a shared sense of disconnection and the need to turn pressure into noise.

Their songwriting is direct and fast, often born from riffs and rhythms rather than overthought concepts. Lyrics reflect anxiety, frustration, identity struggles, and the desire to break out. Not with despair, but with momentum.

FREAKS FACTORY see punk rock as a release valve: a way to process chaos without slowing down. Their sound is deliberately raw and energetic, rooted in the belief that music should feel physical, immediate, and alive… especially on stage.
