SHORTPINE BROTHERS

SHORTPINE BROTHERS are a California-based country rock band delivering raw, heartfelt music rooted in Americana tradition and roots rock spirit. Blending classic country storytelling with bluesy soul and the drive of pure rock atmosphere. Their sound is soulful, warm, earthy, uplifting, roots-oriented, reflective, and free-spirited.

SHORTPINE BROTHERS feature Wyatt Caldwell (lead vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, piano), Ben Caldwell (drums), Cal Morrison (electric and upright bass, vocals), and Matt Patterson (keyboards, lap steel, banjo, harmonica and vocals).

Built around acoustic and electric guitars, piano, rich vocal harmonies, and a rhythm section that moves effortlessly between upright bass and driving rock grooves, the band creates music that feels honest and lived-in. Their songs speak of roads traveled, choices made, and moments that linger, grounded narratives carried by melody and groove.

SHORTPINE BROTHERS embrace simplicity without losing power, crafting songs that feel as comfortable on a dusty highway as they do on a live stage.

SHORTPINE BROTHERS were formed out of a shared respect for American roots music and the belief that songs should feel real before they feel perfect. Drawing from country, blues, soul, and classic rock influences, the band approaches songwriting as storytelling: honest, direct, and emotionally grounded.

Their sound reflects the lineage of Americana artists who blurred genre lines without losing identity, carrying forward the spirit of oldest country bands through shared values of authenticity, groove, and timeless songwriting.

Whether stripped down or fully amplified, SHORTPINE BROTHERS focus on connection: between musicians, songs, and listeners.
