OZON-X

OZON-X are a Berlin-based progressive metal band pushing the boundaries between power, complexity, and emotion. Formed in 2017, they consist of vocalist Leon Hartmann, guitarist Mike Kranz, bassist Felix Braun, keyboardist Nils Vogt, and drummer Marc Adler.

Their music blends heavy metal intensity with elements of hard rock, jazz fusion, and classical composition, resulting in intricate and dramatic soundscapes built for deep listening.

Driven by virtuosic performances and layered arrangements, OZON-X craft songs that evolve like narratives rather than conventional tracks. Complex time signatures, dynamic shifts, and expressive melodies coexist with raw heaviness and cinematic tension.

Lyrically and musically, OZON-X explore philosophical themes such as human consciousness, inner conflict, time, and transformation. Their sound is unapologetically ambitious, demanding attention, rewarding patience, and offering an immersive experience where technical mastery serves emotion rather than ego.

OZON-X was formed by musicians united by a shared vision: to create progressive music that challenges both the performer and the listener. Rooted in Germany’s strong tradition of precision and experimentation, the band approaches songwriting as a form of structured exploration.

Each composition begins as a conceptual framework rather than a riff-driven idea. Musical sections are designed to interact, contrast, and evolve, often drawing inspiration from classical movements and jazz improvisation while maintaining the force of modern metal.

OZON-X view music as a philosophical language, a way to question reality, identity, and emotional extremes without simplifying them. Their work is intentionally dense, dramatic, and immersive, inviting listeners to engage intellectually and emotionally with every detail.
